Large south chapel has off-centre, 3-light C13 window with intersecting tracery, a single lancet on right return and a C17 square- headed window on left return. C13 chancel has one original one-light south window and east end with 3 lancets with monolithic heads. Remarkable roof has alternating strips of single and double thickness of stone slabs. Interior has east and west responds of former C13 arcade in corners of nave and C13 double-chamfered chancel arch. C17 chamfered round rere-arches to nave lancets. Nave roof has stone barrel vault with 15 transverse broach-stopped chamfered ribs. Similar roof to south chapel which also has triple-shafted corbel respond of a C13 west arcade. Arch into chapel from nave is round, double- chamfered with broach stops of 1609. East lancets, have shouldered rere-arches. Monuments to Archibald Reed 1729 and TheresaandHarriet Charlton 1829 on chancel north wall inside. Attached to chancel south wall outside, monument to Charlton of Redesmouth, 1628, with large irregular lettering carved in relief. Ticket office on right has original ticket window with segmental arch and decorative iron grille; also 2 large windows and a door in chamfered alternating-block surrounds, now boarded up. Waiting room partly filling left side of veranda has 2 windows in similar surrounds also boarded up and two 16-pane sashes to rear. Hipped roof with central corniced stone chimney. Station-master's house attached to right in Tudor style. 2 storeys, 3 bays with central doorway in double-chamfered surround. 2-light windows in similar surrounds, those on ground floor under hoodmoulds. 1st floor centre window is in gabled oriel on rounded wood corbels. Gutter is supported on rounded stone corbels. Gabled roof with rendered brick end stacks on stone corniced bases, supported on stone corbels. Projecting wing to right has one 12-pane sash on each floor and one small 6-pane staircase window. All windows have alternating block jambs and slightly projecting sills. One door in later random rubble porch in angle of L, another on right return. Gabled roofs with flat coping and kneelers. Stone corniced end stacks on rear wing. Similarly lateral stack on projecting wing. Dated gabled bellcote on gable of projecting wing.
