Interior shows original rough transverse ceiling beams and heavy corbels for hearth at left end, first floor has remains of fireplace at left end (right end not seen due to fill of hay) and 4 roof trusses, the central pair original and of principal rafter form with collars, carrying 2 levels of purlins. An interesting building, somewhat superior to the usual bastle houses and perhaps a little later in date. Its construction can be approximately dated by the discovery in 1899 of a hoard of 91 silver coins minted between 1554 and 1606, hidden in a ground-floor wall.
