Gabled and hipped roofs with banded, rendered stacks. Entrance side: similar detail; also an early C18 Gibbs surround. Rear of projecting wing (i.e. towards Callerton Hall) has large blocked elliptical carriage arch in raised ashlar surround with large coat of arms; three 12-pane sashes over. On 1st floor: huge C16 fireplace with old wood lintel on very large, rough, rounded corbels; relieving arch over. Left of this the old wood lintel of the lst-floor doorway, and the splayed gun loop. 2-bay upper-cruck roof with collar beams, saddles and double ridge pieces. The house was probably a C16 bastlehouse with accommodation extended to the ground floor in the early-mid C17. On west side of tower a 2-storey round stair turret with pierced quatrefoils and conical stone roof. 3-bay nave has cusped lancets and string which rises over windows and continues on to chancel where it drops to form a sill string. 2-bay chancel has one 2-light Geometric window and one cusped lancet. 2 large offset buttresses. 3-light Geometric east window. Lean-to vestry on north side has datestone and initials of donor, also tall corniced chimney. Gabled roof with flat coping and foliate cross finials. Interior: Panelled wood ceilings.
